Infertility has affected roughly 1 in 6 couples in Canada. My sister Lisa is one of them, and has struggled with infertility through her adult life. After many hopeful doctor appointments she is on a waiting list for in vitro fertilization. Until then, she will be undergoing IUI (Intrauterine insemination).
As many may know this is a costly endeavor, that not only can be challenging financially but is also emotionally and mentally draining. As her sister, I want nothing more than to see her someday have a baby of her own.
Lisa has been like a mother to so many, always devoting herself to others. As for husband Shawn, he is a natural with kids, always helping at every chance he gets. They live their life through selfless actions, and for this reason, I’ve decided to use my talent to help them through this journey.

What is In vitro fertilisation?
In vitro fertilisation is a process of fertilisation where an egg is combined with sperm outside the body, in vitro. The process involves monitoring and stimulating a woman's ovulatory process, removing an ovum or ova from the woman's ovaries and letting sperm fertilise them in a liquid in a laboratory. This therapy can be expensive and is not funded by government or covered by insurance.
